Yes, players shall be homeschooled students, with the majority of their education managed by their parents/guardians. This definition does not preclude parents from paying for private educational services as a minor supplement to their child’s education.
We currently only play in the fall and the season runs from July – October.
No, but we do conclude our practices with Christian devotion and prayer and regularly pray before games. All players are required to be present and respectful during this time regardless of participation. All players and parents are required to agree to our code of conduct prior to playing for the Jags.
Connect with us by using our "Contact Us" form and we will send you information for registration and get you signed up for our team app.

You should expect to travel every other weekend starting in August. We have a “home and home” arrangement with many teams that we play, and we travel to some 3-way events. During the season, our travel games are usually in the Indianapolis, Bloomington, and Cincinnati areas. We do our best to schedule all Jags teams for the same away destination.
*A player must not be older than 19 on the last day of the national homeschool tournament of the current season.
No. It is our desire that athletes of all skill levels can be part of a welcoming, safe, and challenging soccer experience.
After our first two weeks of soccer, our coaches get together and make a decision about who will have the option to play for the Division I (Varsity) team, the Division II (JV) team, and if any of the players are needed as “dual roster” players for the other teams. Coaches will also decide if any U15-aged players will be joining the Division I or II teams as either full-time players or dual rostered. Parents are able to choose if whether or not they would like their child dual rostered.
It is possible that players will complete evaluation exercises but tryouts are not required to be a part of the River City Jaguars.
We are a competitive team, so there is no “equal playing time”. We do recognize that in order to be a good team, we need a deep bench, and in order for our bench to be good, players need experience. We strive to develop the whole team. Players will receive playing time, but it may not be “equal”.
It is important that players attend practice. Consistent absences need to be pre-arranged by parents and approved by coaches.
The River City Jags play teams from private schools, Christian schools, club teams, public schools, along with other homeschool teams. Our season is primarily composed of playing against Indiana Homeschool Soccer league teams.
All of our teams play in the IHSL state tournament. Our U15 team plays in one additional regular-season tournament. U19 teams play one additional regular season tournament and conclude their season at the National Homeschool Soccer Championship.
